I ‘Heart’

Just in time for Valentines’ Day, here is a small collection of heart-themed pieces from British design company Deadgood for Barker & Stonehouse stores.

I’m trying to work out whether these are kitsch or cool.  Unfortunately I suspect the former, though I’m loving the shapes and the detailing such as the covered buttons on the chair and the beautifully executed heart-shaped joinery.

Thoughts?

Well…perhaps not design for the ages, but it IS really well-executed as you say, and I like the retro-70’s-ish shape of the heart. And for heaven’s sake, at least it’s not an “anatomically correct” heart. Maybe it’s because my son just had heart surgery, but I have noticed those popping up everywhere lately. Oh, so edgy and original!

I don’t usually love hearts. But on the fabric of this chair, in the same neutral color, it is amazing. Like your blog, full of eye candys and inspirations.
