Have just skimmed through my most recent posts and realise that I use the words ‘stunning’ and ‘beautiful’ far too often. I need to find me some new adjectives…
Try gushing over posh homes for thrice-monthly magazines for three years. I banned ‘stunning’ back in the spring of ’05. Also have a problem with ‘fantastic’ and ‘fabulous’, which I believe should never be used if not actually pertaining to fantasy or fables. But maybe that’s just me.
Suggest online thesaurus.
Well, if I have to drop ‘incredible’ unless I really can’t credit it, and ‘awesome’ unless I really am in awe – then I’m just going to have to stick to ‘nice’.
Have looked up online thesaurus. Very many excellent words, so I will be giving up ‘stunning’ and ‘beautiful’ for Lent. And definitely want to get ‘pulchritudinous’ in there somewhere.
Oh goody … I will be staying tuned for the inclusion of ‘pulchritudinous’!!! Use it wisely.
(I used to have a secret yearning to use the word ‘serendipity’ in a sentence … maybe that’s why I started blogging in the first place … and what do you know … sweet serendipity I got my chance!).

Oh Paola, what the hell, I use “scrumptious” every other word. I just can’t help myself…

So maybe we should swap?

I like ‘exquisite’ myself … but try to save it up for only the very best bits. Hmmm … maybe a good thesaurus would help ?!?
